focus, standard, and extended sessions

A focus 45-minute session addresses one need, such a tension relief in the jaw or general stress relief. $75

A standard 60-minute session addresses one to two focus areas or attends to overall comfort and relaxation. $100

An extended 90-minute session accommodates full body attention with or without a focus area. $150

During this session, you will rest on a traditional massage table. Depending on therapy goals and preference, you may be fully clothed or undressed to your level of comfort while covered modestly with a sheet and blanket. A table warmer is optional for added comfort.

Your massage therapy is catered to your needs each session - no two sessions are alike. Trained in a variety of modalities, Emily’s practice honors the body’s innate healing processes, which are often best supported with a gentle approach.

common bodywork modalities used:

  • myofascial massage

  • Swedish massage, including jostling, tapotement and passive range-of-motion

  • craniosacral assessments and techniques

  • Thai and sports massage

  • breathwork

  • restorative yoga

  • intraoral massage

Relieve tension, awaken underused muscle fibers, and discover ways to move your body comfortably and therapeutically by incorporating active movement into your session.

Depending on your therapy goals, Emily may guide you through active movements during your session. These movements involve stretching or strengthening techniques practiced in yoga, Thai massage, and sports massage.

Stretches and strengthening techniques may also be suggested after your therapy session for daily self care. Participating and staying engaged in your session can improve your body awareness outside of therapy sessions. Being aware helps to promote new muscle memory, break habits that cause discomfort, and achieve long-term relief.

For therapy sessions involving a lot of movement-based modalities, it is preferred for clients to stay clothed. To incorporate active movement into your session, please wear or bring sweatpants or athletic pants and a long or short sleeve shirt.

Deep tissue massage: Emily does not offer a “deep tissue” massage. Overly assertive manipulation of muscle and fascia can cause injury and provide only momentary relief. Emily applies gentle to firm pressure to ensure long-lasting results. While deeper tissues can be engaged, pain and discomfort are avoided. Assessments and adjustments are made throughout each session to ensure Emily’s work is effective and safe.
